Romy Troxler’s serial works reveal the artist’s enthusiasm for the poetry of forms that animate our everyday life. From this interest derives the need to create images that are, as it were, attempts to formalise the world. Within this pictorial quest, Troxler devotes herself to the study of variation in minimalist drawings with bold and fleeting strokes. The first series, drawn with graphite, shows intuitive compositions in different technical realisations. In the stroke, sometimes thickly applied and clear, sometimes diffuse and discrete, a special emphasis on rhythm is expressed.
